A B4B (acronym which is used internationally instead of BXC) clinic was held on October 23rd in the baseball field of the Cheetah team in Beek, with the help of the Dutch Baseball Federation, AIBXC and WBSC (which financed the sending of the material).

The event saw participation of a large group of visually impaired people of different ages (8-50 years) both male and female selected thanks to the perfect work of Chantal Bos Regional Consultant of the sport organization IKS (Iederen Kan Sporten).

During the presentation of the daywork in a conference room of the magnificent sports center of the city, Stefano Malaguti explained to those present (baseball coaches and assistants of the association of visually impaired people) through a Power Point presentation, the philosophy and the game invented by Alfredo Meli, then having Eva Trevisan (sighted player and coach), Angel Argentieri (coach) and Giorgio Napoli (blind player) expose their experience in B4B.

Roy Vink of the Dutch Federation, in charge of following the project, was present throughout the day.

We then moved to the beautiful Cheetah baseball field where Malaguti, Trevisan and Argentieri with the help of local coaches Peter Boevrie, John Benink, Jack Heuts,Frank Smeits,Axel Tielung and above all Chantal Bos to fallow the technical part of the program by with all the fundamentals of B4B.

The future players ran on the bases, caught and threw the ball and hit the ball like in normal baseball to end up playing a mini game that thrilled everyone.

During the parts of the training Giorgio Napoli accompanied several players in their runs on the bases and then demonstrated (by running, hitting, defending and throwing, among amazed onlookers) advantages in general offered by doing sport and in particular playing B4B.

A very intense day both from a physical and emotional point of view in which everyone was involved in a very exciting way.

We were very pleased to see the parents who accompanied their children to learn B4B, considering the sport very important to help their growth in life.

Being sure that we have planted a seed in fertile soil and thanking Chantal Bos, Roy Vink, Peter Boevrie, John Benink, Jack Heuts, Frank Schmeits, Axel Tielung Eva, Giorgio and Angel again, we look forward to see development of our sport in the Netherlands.
