Nella giornata di sabato 7 Maggio si è tenuto il secondo clinic nella città di Beek (Paesi Bassi).
Dopo la prima spedizione in terra olandese dello scorso ottobre, i nostri collaboratori locali hanno continuato a lavorare per sviluppare il BXC nella loro città ed ancora una volta l’evento che hanno organizzato è stato un successo.
Al clinic hanno infatti partecipato 16 tra ragazzi e ragazze con disabilità visive, di cui 12 hanno espresso la volontà di far parte della prima squadra Olandese sotto la guida di Chantal Bos.
Nella mattinata gli atleti si sono cimentati nella tecnica di corsa sulle basi sotto la guida di allenatori e volontari, per poi passare alla battuta ed infine alla difesa.
Nel pomeriggio poi si sono divertiti a mettere in pratica tutti i fondamentali appresi, disputando una partita amichevole.
A partire dalla fine di maggio il gruppo che ha aderito inizierà ad allenarsi con continuità in vista dell’ambita partecipazione al torneo internazionale di BXC del 20 e 21 Agosto.
La Mole Cup 2022 sarà infatti ospitata proprio dalla città di Beek, in collaborazione con AIBXC e con il prezioso supporto della WBSC e della FIBS.
Il costante lavoro della delegazione Olandese ci fa sperare che questo sarà solo il primo di tanti eventi organizzati nella terra dei tulipani, con il sogno di creare presto più squadre e di conseguenza un campionato nazionale.

GREAT SUCCESS OF THE SECOND B4B CLINIC IN THE NETHERLANDS
Saturday May 7th a second clinic of Baseball for the Blind was held in Beek (The Netherlands).
After the first trip in the Dutch land in october 2021, our local partners continued to work in order to develop B4B in their city and once again the event they organized was a success.
In fact, 16 visually impaired boys and girls attended the clinic and 12 of them expressed the will to be part of the first Dutch team under the guidance of Chantal Bos.
During the morning session, the athletes first learnt base running with the help of coaches and volunteers, and then they experimented batting and defense.
Later in the afternoon, they had fun playing a friendly game, executing all the fundamentals just learned.
Starting from the end of May, the group that joined the team will begin to train every week in view of the prestigious participation in the international B4B tournament of August 20th and 21st.
The Mole Cup 2022 will be hosted by the city of Beek, in collaboration with AIBXC and with the valuable support of WBSC and FIBS.
The consistent work of the Dutch delegation makes us hope that this will be the first of many events organized in the land of tulips, with the dream of building more teams in order to create a national championship.
